I just tried out YouTube for hosting video, and it seems to work. These are laps from a recent NCRC event. One is with the Cyclone, and one is with the bypass. I've got a camera mounted outside the car on my rear wing, and another one inside the car on my roll hoop. A View-2.com box allows me to record with one picture inside the other.

The weird yellow stripe on the image was debris on the camera lens.

Wow, that is a great video of a very fast lap at Thunderhill (with the bypass). I was especially impressed with the 4th to 2nd gear down shift at the end of the back stretch at turn 14. Thanks for sharing.

2:01.5 AND 2:04.5 !!! Do you still drive it to and from the track or is it now a dedicated track car?

My videos are not worth posting. The quality of the picture is good. The shaking of the camera ruins it. If I buy a new digital camera and use a remote lens that should solve that problem. But I have seen videos with the speed imprinted on them. How would I go about doing that?

I didn't have my camera on for my best lap :( But this one wasn't too bad.

anyone have tips for me? i know my cyclone sucked and turn 9 exit wasn't that good. this is my talon in the first session of my 2nd thill day, a slow 2:26 lap http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8965432251125274588

Turn 2: come to the inside sooner and stay there--throttle-steer to hug the inside of the turn until you need to exit to proceed to 3.

Turn 5: you pinched the turn a bit after going over the top rather than letting the car track to the right.

Turn 6: a bit late on turn-in, try turning in a bit earlier and carrying a bit more speed.

Turn 8: turn in much earlier. I like to start winding up the wheel a little bit before I can see the left apex berm, and driving over the very front part of the berm. Keep it smooth and you'll be able to carry much more speed through. This is a very high-speed corner so work your way up to it, adjusting your line a little bit at a time.

Turn 9: looks like you're taking the "school line" through there which is to apex late and aim for the silver water silo over the top of the hill. You can carry more speed by apexing earlier, and gently steering left while tracking all the way right after cresting the hill. You're turning in over a blind crest so make small changes until you're confident you can keep the car on the pavement after you crest the hill.

Your lines are not too bad overall, looks like you just need to build up some confidence to allow you to move your turn-in points a bit earlier and your turns wider where possible, carrying more speed as a result. Yes [Y]
