Friday night stay near Buttonwillow?

I'll be towing an open trailer and race car to Buttonwillow Friday June 22nd. Does anyone have a recommended place to stay? One that makes parking a trailer convenient and secure/safe? Relatively quiet room with no critters in the bed?

Steve, Your choices are Buttonwillow (hwy 58), Lost Hills (hwy 46) or Shafter (Lerdo hwy, go east). Leave your car/trlr at the track and then drive to the Super 8 Motel. I have a dyno appointment at 3 PM Friday at the track (7's Only). They have a Dynojet 248 (AI required dyno). Tom is going to tune my motor and I'm curious about my power for AI, being 9.5 to 1. I'm going to stay with friends nearby or I'll stay near you. Are you going alone, if so I might be able to get you a bed at the ranch?  I grew-up on Lerdo Hwy, my dad had a ranch near there.

Quiet on Interstate 5.........you're kidding. Critters are everywhere! You might try Shafter, a 10-15 mile drive east for a local quiet motel and good food choices. No fwy or travelers. Goggle Shafter, Ca and see what they got. The Shafter Motel use to be a great little place with good rooms/stuff. or hire me and I'll watch your traile/car for $300 and give you my bed!
