recommendations for tire mounting/balancing in S.F. Bay Area
Reply Quote

I've decided that this is the summer that I run dedicated R-compound track tires (I got a set of Avon TechRA's on Tire Rack closout).  I usually have my street tires mounted and balanced at a Big O, but after talking with them about what constitutes "stiff" sidewalls I began to think it might be worthwhile to seek out someone with more (i.e. > 0) experience with these types of tires.

So my question: where should I go in the SF Bay Area to have the tires mounted and balanced?

I live in Fremont and am willing to travel the length and breadth of the Bay to find the "right" installer, if there be such.  ;-)

I go to: Tyre Treds, 22314 Mission Blvd., Hayward (510)581-3378. Not only are they inexpensive, but they do a good job.

Also, Roger Kraus Racing, 2896 Grove st in Castro Valley (510)582-5031
