Yeah, but these Mustang's traction control goes crazy (like shutter big time) when you reach red line with the TC on, if the tires are spinning. And you might not know the tires were slightly rotating differently. The limiter is a diff sound/feel! One time at T-hill my TC got knocked "on" during a session and I thought I had a major problem (big time shutter) and took the pit exit and looked down and saw the TC on and turned it back "off" and everything was great. When I first bought the car I would get rubber on the shift and lose some power and shutter, if the rear tires are spinning. I realized the TC was causing this, when you get rubber. My Mach 1 (Cobra DOHC 32 V) can get 4th gear rubber, so his Supercharged version will for sure, probably in 5th too, esp if he changed the pulley for 500 HP! The autos don't do it as bad, just the manuels.
A course the reason is to prevent an inexp driver or any driver from loosing control while accelerating on ice/rain or whatever. Takes timing out (causes shutter), some others drop cylinders, some fuel, etc.
A course, I could be totally wrong without testing the vehicle.......just a thought or 2.5 cents! But having many miles exp with these cars I'm a betting man!
